Lots of ideas for a Skyland / NCP Website / Monthly Newsletter Gardening Advice & recommended flora for the neighborhood from experienced gardening enthusiasts, zone info, list of local retailers, testimonials about specific plant success, especially xeriscape like clover lawns, growing food, watering restrictions, best places to buy hardscape materials, local florists
I think it would be great to foster relationships with the South City Park and Clayton Neighborhood Groups too. I've chatted with folks that lead those orgs and there is so much we can do community wise together.
Pets: microchip scanner neighbor contacts, adoption facilities listings: DAS, DDFL, other local rescues, scholarship funds for pet licensing / microchip (with focus on legalized pit bulls), leash laws, and education about requirements, neighborhood efforts to add bag & trash stations (price materials and ask for volunteer installation locations), vet referrals and cost analysis, foster family stories
